Job Summary: Performs inspections of mechanical and electrical parts per drawings and specification. Works with Material Control and Quality.

What Is the Job?

Inspects (Outbound and/or in-process) aerospace/medical sub-assemblies and/or assemblies visually and dimensionally for conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality control specifications and supplier/customer requirements.

Responsible for review and acceptance of paperwork and documentation used in the acceptance of product.

Perform mechanical and electrical inspection on product and process

Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems

May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment and process


5-7 years of Quality Inspection , Auditing and process surveillance experience

Experienced working in aerospace and medical industry with requirements (AS9100, ISO13485)

Proficient in the use of hand tools for precision measurement- micrometers, calipers, rulers and gauges

Must be detail oriented with excellent recordkeeping and report writing skills

Excellent visual acuity is a requirement of the job

Proficient in optical microscope, optical comparator, x-ray machine

Must be able to have a degree on independence and self-direction

GD&T knowledge

Must have excellent communications for public speaking and presentations to customers, management, Engineers and other employees.

Great organizational skills and follow through on all projects is essential

Basic electrical engineering knowledge is required

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

IPC-610 standards required, NASA and ESD certified is plus

Computer Skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Visio)

Process flow analysis experience

Lean knowledge is a plus

What you bring to the job?

Five (5) year of related experience required - Experience running the instrumentation described in the duties and responsibilities section is of benefit

Someone with great attendance and punctuality.

Detail-oriented and organized with an ability to work independently.

Able to lift up to 25-30 pounds repetitively.

Ability to effectively read, write and speak English

Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, and reach within hands and arms-length

Someone with a "Yes, can do!" Attitude.

Able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen.

High School or equivalent is required.
