Job Description

Manpower is currently seeking a Master Scheduler/Shutdown Planner for a six-month contract position or our client, a Major Pipeline Company in the Fort St. John area.

Typical Duties:

* Strategically schedule all Turnaround work orders/task lists for the most efficient use of resources and time, leveraging all possible efficiency's.

* Form a detailed master production schedule.

* Work with Designers to ensure all possible material substitution is reviewed to address material shortages, and to have input on Engineering Change orders (ECO).

* Evaluate, develop and write new processes and procedures as well as developing new tools that will aid in the production process.

* Oversee the progress and productivity of all aspects of the project, with the ability to recognize areas of concern and develop/purpose solutions to in a time sensitive manner.

* Facilitate effective front-end planning, construction, and turnover phases of the project.

* Manage the resources of the Production Planning department to meet the main business objectives and the day to day activities.

* Provide delivery dates on customer orders based on material availability and capacity and to continuously improve on dates given, and where necessary expedite critical customer orders.

Qualifications/Skills

* Advanced ability to effectively problem-solve, communicate (orally and in writing), lead business discussions and train others.

* Team player within multi-disciplined teams.

* Strong organizational skill set

* Experience in managing third-party service providers

* Knowledge of project planning & scheduling concepts, terminology and methodologies
