We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our innovative, top of the line and growing manufacturing company in Washington, MO.

Senior Control Engineers are responsible for designing and validating controls for automated systems as well as commissioning these systems at our customers' locations. Controls Engineers work in a team environment designed to help New Employees become productive quickly.


* Develop solution base control systems and assist in presenting the solution to the customer

* Support sales team with technical concepts

* Design machine electrical and fluid controls using AutoCAD Electrical

* Interpret internal/external requirements, address design and engineering parameters, and ensure solutions are implemented accurately, on-time and in budget.

* Write structured, well documented PLC code

* Design intuitive, easy to navigate, HMI interfaces utilizing best practices

* Create control schematics

* Panel design

* Support manufacturing during the controls installation process

* Integrate and troubleshoot machine controls

* Create machine controls documentation

* Provide customer support Including onsite installation and troubleshooting

* Resolve operational problems related to projects to minimize delays and unexpected cost

* Work with Engineering Manager on various continuous improvement initiatives

* Maintain a clean and orderly

Education & Experience

* BSEE or BSET from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 10+ years' related experience.

* Dynamic machine design experience a plus

* Strong fundamental knowledge of control and electrical systems and its application in automated industrial design

* Knowledge of:

o Power Distribution

o Motor Drives (AC/DC)

o Safety Circuits -Allen Bradley, Pilz, Schmersal, etc.

o PLC and HMI Logic and Programming -Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.

o Pneumatic Circuits and Devices

* Proficient with 2D CAD -AutoCAD LT is a plus

* Troubleshoot controls systems and circuits

* Proficient with Microsoft Office

* Familiar with NEC, NFPA, UL codes, ANSI B11, OSHA, Industry Accepted Guarding practices, etc.

* Proficient at planning and project management

* Ability to meet challenging deadlines.

* Strong organizational skills

* Supportive of internal and external customers' needs

* Robot Integration experience is a plus -Motoman, Fanuc, Kuka, Panasonic, ABB, etc.

* Ability to communicate well with customers, team members, management, etc.

* Adaptable and self-motivated learner

* Ability and willingness to travel to support projects.

* Ability to speak Spanish a plus.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment.


Occasional travel to customer sites required for onsite installation and troubleshooting.
