The Client

Our client is is one of the leading North American salvage auto auctions with the largest facility footprint, strong buyer base and high auction returns.

What will you be doing?

* The Yard Attendant is responsible for performing basic yard functions to ensure that all key information is recorded on incoming vehicles and assist with upkeep and maintenance of these vehicles throughout the sale process.

* Check in vehicles by recording and filing information on vehicles being assigned to the facility.

* Detail (thoroughly clean) vehicles to improve their appearance for purposes of enhancing their value at auction.

* Record vehicle information.

* Recover keys, license plates, and other information or objects from vehicles at the facility and store them in the appropriate locations at the branch.

* Assist visitors by providing appropriate guidance and/or directing them to the appropriate person for additional assistance.

* Wash cars remove license plates and provide general cleaning services to maintain a clean and safe facility.

* Mark vehicles as needed.

* Monitor yard activity to ensure that visitors and other IAA employees comply with all company policies.

* Immediately report all violations of company policy to a supervisor or manager.

* Operate passenger vehicles in a safe manner for the purposes of moving the vehicles around the facility and/or participating in drive-through auctions.

* Receive training in forklift/loader operation.

* This position involves primarily outdoor work in all types of weather.

* Must remain alert to potential hazards associated with heavy equipment and other vehicles operated in their work area

What do you bring to the job?

* High School Diploma

* Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and perform activities that involve stooping, bending, standing, and walking for reasonable periods of time.

* General mechanical knowledge of makes and models of vehicles required.

* Valid driver's license and ability to operate passenger vehicles (may not be required in certain facilities).
