Job Description

Established Manufacturing Company located in Quakertown, PA is looking for a qualified Control Technician. This is a permanent opportunity.

As a Controls Technician you would be an essential part of the team. You would be responsible for the repair and upkeep of equipment and facility. Activities include both proactive planned work and breakdown repair. You will be expected to perform a wide range of activities in order to maintain the highly automated equipment in the process along with all facility equipment. This is a 2nd shift position with the typical work hours being 4PM-12AM. Includes an hourly shift bonus for working nights . This position will also include weekly overtime along with some weekend work.

Essential

Must have 3-5 years experience as a controls technician

Advance experience with PLCs, be able to trouble shoot, adjust, modify programs,

Strong computer skills

Uses electrical/electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic system knowledge to maintains, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment.

Understanding of three phase AC motor and drive system

Maintain professional, courteous and tactful relations with all personnel at all times

Desire and availability to work overtime



Preferred

Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronis or similar strongly preferred

Experience with web processing equipment ( tension & speed control)

Hands on PLC experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens equipment

Working knowledge of National Electrical codes and methods and procedures used in performing evaluations on all electrical apparatus using volt meters, amp meters, meggers, temperature's gauges etc.



Education- High School Diploma or GED required. However A PLUS If you hold an Associates Degree/Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics.



Drug screen and criminal background check are required.
