Job Description

Manpower is looking for Line Leaders to join a leading food client; a reputable bakery in Brampton. Under the general supervision of the Area Leader, Production Supervisor and/or Plant Manager; the Line Leader will be responsible for ensuring the equipment is operated correctly by utilizing monitors and gauges on the equipment. He/she will organize and lead the process and team on the line to ensure good quality product is produced at all times. Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Review the daily production schedule.

*Ensure proper and safe operation of the equipment.

*Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

*Regularly monitor that the product conforms to quality specifications.

*Use SPC weight control system to check weights are deposited as per specification and to consistently perform all mandated CCP controls where required.

*Responsible for proper cleaning equipment and for maintaining work area is clean and free of hazards.

*Continuously monitor and adjust the process based on upstream and downstream production needs.

*Ensure that the equipment has been properly cleaned before starting production after CIP has been completed.

*Regularly co-ordinate with Machine Operators on the line.

*Ensuring proper and accurate set up of the line(s).

*Responsible for the crew being on time, understanding their tasks and ensuring that they are met under all circumstances.

*Ensures production schedule is being followed at all times.

*Responsible for documentation and administration reports.

*Responsible for following and promote Give & Go RDQ values (Respect, Direct Communication & Quality), Policies and Best Practices, and Procedures as defined by Food Safety, GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety.



QUALIFICATIONS:

*Completion of high school education or equivalent;

*Minimum 1 year experience working with food and/or in manufacturing environment

*Strong communication both orally and written;

*Satisfactory computer proficiency for MS Applications such as Word, and Excel.

*Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills.

*Demonstration of leadership skills.

*Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.

*Ability to follow task directions and to meet deadlines.

*Ability to work in a team oriented and fast pace environment.

*High energy individual.

*Flexibility to work rotating and/or weekend shifts.
