We are looking for an experienced Front End Loader Operator for one of our clients that specializes in the treatment and recycling of organic waste to create compost. This position supports businesses through the operation of mobile plant (shovels/loaders) to create a safe and healthy environment, providing excellent customer service and operating in compliance with all internal and external requirements, while maintaining company property/equipment so that it is fit for purpose. Loader Operators will also perform the organization of waste, and loading waste into haulage vehicles ensuring off-take material meets contractual requirements.



The candidate would drive a front end loader basically pushing the organic waste into bins inside the warehouse.The working environment may have strong odor as you work with organic waste (kind of musty and earthy), interested candidates should be comfortable working in such environment; use of respirator is enforced.



What you give?

-Operate safely and effectively to help maintain a safe environment for staff, subcontractors, customers, and visitors

-Load haulage vehicles, tunnels, storage bunkers, and processing equipment with loose waste

-Enforce PPE and RPE requirements with all persons in accordance with company procedure

-Report accidents, incidents, and near misses in accordance with company procedure

-Ensure that company property and equipment meet legislative requirements by maintaining mobile plant to a high standard and completing regular planned washing and greasing tasks

-Perform any other such reasonable job-related tasks that client may require including cleaning, maintenance, and administration functions. as required



What you bring?

-Relevant study/background and/or experience in heavy equipment operations field

-Good written, verbal and reporting skills

-Availability to work outside scheduled hours where required

-Must have a valid standard driver's license 'G' and clean driver's abstract

-Must successfully be fitted for a respirator

-Working hours: 12 Hour rotating shifts (2/2/3 work weeks meaning out of a 4-week cycle each person works 2 consecutive day shifts, followed by 2 days off duty, works 3 consecutive day shifts, followed by 2 days off duty, works 2 consecutive day shifts, followed by 3 days off duty, 2 consecutive night shifts, followed by 2 days off duty, works 3 consecutive night shifts, etc.)
