Job Description

Are you an experienced welder looking for a long term opportunity? Our client company located in Corona, Ca has immediate openings for Welders on 2nd shift! Please see details below:



Pay: $15/hr.

Shift: 2nd - 1:30 pm to 10 pm



The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

* Evaluate all engineering drawings and ensure implementation according to welding specifications.

* Perform efficient welding of various metal objects using Acetylene torch, MIG & TIG welder.

* Must be able to weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

* Design and produce new parts or machines according to specifications.

* Administer all welding activities such as riveting and welding small parts and finished products.

* Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

* Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.

* Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, and metal saws.

* Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.

* Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly.

* Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.

* Installs machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.

* Operates welding equipment to cut or weld parts.

* Develops specifications from general description and draws sketch of part or product to be fabricated.

* Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.



QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out oral or written instructions.

* Must be able to pass background and drug test
