Job Description

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity that will turn into a perm role within the first 3 months. The candidates will be considered for a Project Manager or Project Manager Associate level roles depending on the experience.

3rd shift: Sun-Wed, 10pm-8:30am.


The primary focus of the Project Manager position is to independently and successfully manage a large volume of Projects, varying in scope from simple to complex. The incumbent is also responsible for developing effective and positive relationships with clients. Ultimately, the incumbent provides superior service, as well as technical and tactical expertise in client driven highly technical environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

Serves as a point of contact for multiple client projects. Works with internal departments on all facets of project preparation and successful execution, including issue resolutions.

Identifies and anticipates client needs, and independently manages client projects.

Consults with clients and advises them on workflow and project processes by phone, email, or in person.

Responsible for nurturing and developing effective and positive relationships with clients, including effectively identifying and anticipating client needs.

Effectively diffuses complex client situations and promotes Merrill as a whole while in the execution of the project.

Ensures proper documentation for job tracking, work orders, project notes and billing information is accurate and timely.

Ensures project deliverables for client are accurate, timely, and monitors progress on project deliverables.

Prepares and uploads client materials (hard and soft copy).

Follows all Best Practices, Policies and Procedures.

Requires ability to effectively manage and negotiate client expectations, as well as the ability to thoroughly understand and train clients on the components of the systems.

Delegates and effectively utilizes support resources. Incumbents are detail oriented and adaptable and flexible to changing work environment.

Requires ability to work within a team environment and multi task in a time sensitive and deadline driven highly technical environment.

Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills.

Adaptable and flexible to changing work environment (including shift/location).

Ability to effectively manage and negotiate client expectations.

Demonstrated detail orientation and follow-through required.

BA/BS degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a client service environment required.

Proven technical skills and abilities, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe and web-related applications
