Job Description

QUALITY MANAGERS understand the critical role they play in effectively driving Quality Management Systems & Processes, leading their team to challenge the status quo and achieve best-in-class quality standards to meet or exceed customer quality expectations. Get ready for a career upgrade!



ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Expertly manage supplier concerns & customer negotiations (issue/respond to trouble reports & portal requirements)

* Effective management and facilitation of internal processes, procedures & programs

* Manage, develop & direct improvement initiatives for all products and services

* Monitor & report on system performance against set goals

* Gap analysis between applied & current ISO 9001:2015/TS16949 standards and establish quality plan to bring company into current IATF compliance

* Lead in the maintenance & improvement of site's QMS, transition to new standards when required

* QA audits to maintain compliance with corporate practices

* Collaborate with client-facing QA representatives to ensure full customer satisfaction

* Establish & maintain a QA program for supplier quality (audits, controls, and other qualifiers)

* Risk analyses, verification, validation activities, and formal design reviews, as applicable

* Integration of quality control tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes

* Act as liaison with customer auditors and assume responsibility for ensuring corrective actions with customer specifications.

* Internal Quality and reporting including measuring, documenting, analyzing, communicating, and costs

* Drawing control & design changes, lead New Model Activities for Quality

* department responsibilities

* Ensure employees have clear goals and expectations communicated

* Evaluate employee performance (feedback, coaching, and formal evaluations)

* Create and maintain QA control documentation, identify relevant training needs/opportunities

* Awareness of company profitability (budgetary control)



YOU OFFER:

* Post-secondary education in an engineering discipline

* 5-8+years of direct experience with all aspects of Quality Management Systems

* Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 and TS 16949/ IATF

* Advanced communication skills for liaising and communicating with vendors, customers, and internal staff and departments.

* Practical experience with Advanced Quality Planning, Product Testing, Design FMEA's, Process FMEA's, Process Capability Calculations, PPAP, and Control Plans.

* Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing an asset

* Self-directed & motivated multi-tasker, able to work with minimal supervision

* Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker

* Expert root investigation & resolution skills

* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office

* A well-defined sense of diplomacy & people management skills, strong relationship builder

* Valid passport to travel to the U.S. and possibly internationally.
