Job Description

Job Summary:

To provide administrative and technical human resources assistance to human resources managers

Essential Functions:

* Processes new employee set-up paperwork, title and status changes and separations, including submission of appropriate data to corporate.

* Maintains Attendance logs and issuing violations to supervisors for administering.

* Maintains files such as the Applicant Flow Log to ensure compliance with corporate and Federal guidelines.

* Assists with recruitment and interview process.

* Maintains employee training records and updates Training Matrices.

* Answers routine inquiries from inside and outside the company on employment verifications, benefits, etc.

* Processes and administers al leave of absence requests (medical, personal, disability, FMLA), disability paperwork; Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to LOAs / disabilities.

* Maintains employee personnel files in accordance with company policies and government regulations.

* Retains records in accordance with company record retention requirements.

* Maintains the Material Safety and Data Sheet book and index.

* Inventory and stock fist aid kits and safety supplies; orders additional supplies to ensure reserve levels are maintained.

* Participates in plant safety/training meetings.

* Assists with plant environmental testing (noise/air quality monitoring, etc.)

* Performs benefits administration to include benefits enrollments and changes, claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to employees.

* Maintains HRIS records and compiles reports from database.

* Maintains plant and office bulletin boards in an up-to-date and legal compliance manner.

* Acts of as coordinator of schedules for persons in the department, when required.

* Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

* Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Job Skills:

* Basic clerical experience.

* Ability to communicate both orally and in writing - a second language may be required and that language will be specified at the time of employment.

* Computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook required - PowerPoint a plus).

* Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.

* Reading and math skills.

* Ability to work overtime on short notice.


* 2 years of human resources experience preferred.
