People and Safety Partner



Looking to further your career with a company that values people, knowledge and innovation? Manpower has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced People and Safety Partner to join our Calgary operations in a permanent role.



As our People and Safety Partner, you will be interacting regularly with employees and managers in all departments, providing general support and assisting in a variety of aspects of the employee experience, Health and Safety, and employee communications.



Your responsibilities will include:

* Fostering an open and transparent communication culture to allow for sharing of knowledge, information, recognition and news across the organization

* Becoming a subject matter expert of internal policies

* Becoming the regional point of contact for all Health & Safety matters

* Completing full WCB case management for internal staff and external associates; reports, incident investigations, documentation and modified duties plans

* Performing WCB case follow up and liaising with Talent Management Consultants, Case Managers/Adjudicators and Medical Practitioners

* Administering Health and Safety initiatives; enrolling staff in first aid training and other Health and Safety related training, sending out Winter Road Reports, monthly communications, maintaining the Corporate Action Register and providing information to the internal Health and Safety Committee

* Assuming the Chair of Health and Safety Committee

* Maintaining and completing health and safety documents; loss control reporting, corporate action register, JHA's, WES's, MTI's, Completing Event Investigations and Event Recording Forms

* Maintaining Emergency Procedures

* Maintaining Third Party Health and Safety Management systems

* Various administrative tasks for management as requested

* Other duties as assigned



As our next People and Safety Partner you bring:

* Minimum high school diploma; post-secondary education in a related field would be considered an asset

* 2+ years' experience in a related role

* Experience performing full WCB case management

* Knowledge and previous experience with C.O.R (Certificate of Recognition) and Health and Safety programs

* Strong attention to detail

* Positive attitude

* Strong organizational and follow up skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

* Ability to communicate effectively with others, both through verbal and written communication

* As a component of the position entails visiting our other offices within the province, a vehicle and comfort in travelling within province 1 - 2 times a month is required
