Job Description

As the Showroom Manager, you will greet clients, oversee corporate events held in the showroom, and assist sales managers. This position starts ASAP after interview process. This position will begin as part time (4 - 6 hours per day) and will move to full time after 6 months. The candidate must have a professional/polished mindset as they will be working directly with B2B Clients and commercial vendors. Previous experience in interior or commercial design is strongly preferred (a background in the hospitality industry ok also).

* Manage all aspects of the showroom and promote the use of the facility as a reference for Architects and Designers, End Users, CRE firms, Dealer partners, regional sales staff, and all internal/external stakeholders.

* Assists Regional Vice President in all administrative duties as assigned, supports regional sales staff as directed.

* Maintains product library and sample inventory for the showroom in order to fulfill regional customer requirements.

* Daily office opening and closing, communicates as main point of contact with building owner as required in order to properly maintain office area and showroom; including coordination with landlord, partner vendors, parking & furniture vendors, caterers, sales reps, etc.

* Presents oneself as knowledgeable and professional to the internal and external customer.

* Meets and greets all internal and external customers.

* Manages, maintains and coordinates all daily activities associated with the design center showroom and office area.

* Assists regional sales staff and national sales staff upon request.

* Assists in coordinating showroom presentations, coordinates sample requirements for sales staff, maintains sample inventory, executes miscellaneous organizational projects, plans meeting & event logistics, troubleshoots minor technical problems, and manages expenses.

* Coordinates showroom/office schedules and activities, tracks progress and results as directed by manager.

* Communicates with internal and external service providers in order to maintain showroom and office efficiencies.

* Works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude showroom events.

* Orders samples for customers and sales associates and maintains inventory levels as required.

* Coordinates all incoming and outgoing internal and external customer shipping and delivery requirements.

* Responsibilities may include but are not limited to screening telephone calls, ordering office supplies, marketing materials and other sales or administrative related requests.

* Coordinates various office support services.

* Operates and coordinates cleaning of regular maintenance services for showroom and office equipment (i.e., copier, telephones, A/V, computers, etc.).


* Strong computer skills required.

* Sensitivity to confidential matters.

* Must be flexible and capable of shifting priorities quickly.

* Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

* Must be pro-active and a self-starter.

* Must be capable of navigating ambiguity and interpreting/clarifying vague requests.

* A background in design is ideal, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent lifting, bending, and reaching. 25+ lbs. Visual acuity. Occasional bending and reaching.

Other Requirements:

Must do continuing education of company materials and products.

Must be comfortable with pre-employment screening process.

Must abide by all company policies and guidelines.
