Job Description

Summary/Objective

The customer service sales associate sells and services new and existing accounts. The position is also responsible for performing sales and service functions for targeted markets, programs and sales as assigned.



Essential Functions

Prepares quotes, sales orders responses for customers at the counter and by telephone.

Maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations.

Responsible for closing out the cash box and reconciling cash ticket and accounts

Maintains all sales displays, Re-stocking of shelves with products and tools.

Develops and delivers sales presentations in a professional and effective manner.

Provides technical presentations for potential customers.

Maintains up-to-date awareness of company activities, and industry trends.

Supports Outside Sales Team/Executives with quotes, orders, submittals if needed.

May from time to time be assigned Operational duties by Store Operations Manager to help maintain the daily operations of the Stores effectiveness.

Develops product knowledge and sales skills through continuous training.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional store environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.



Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position requires standing 80% of the time at a store counter, answering phones, speaking with customers and using a computer. Walking and standing, sitting stooping, bending, twisting, reaching, and the hand movements to write, answer phones. Lifting up to 30 lbs. required to stock shelves with products.



Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. This individual will be required to rotate every 3rd Saturday at one of the stores that are open on Saturday.



Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.



Required Education; Experience and License

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum two (2) years experience working with or knowledge of construction material plus 2 years prior customer service experience.

Forklift Experienced.

Valid Driver's License and clear driving record.

Bilingual English/ Spanish (read and speak)
