Manager of Technical Development - Direct Hire

A thriving medical supply manufacturer in the Brunswick area is now seeking a Manager of Technical Development! Utilize your technical, manufacturing, and project management experience in an exciting, multidimensional role at an industry-leading company that is known for quality and innovation.

What will you be doing?

Coordinating and directing projects, and taking the necessary actions to keep projects on track

Identifying, requesting, and managing the resources needed to ensure project targets are met

Monitoring the market to gain knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies

Assessing and managing risks to project success

Providing leadership to implementation teams, and controlling implementation schedules

Making decisions regarding equipment design, and actively participating in design reviews as well as FAT and SAT activities

Providing support and expertise to R&D and Quality functions during machine validations

Reviewing and approving supplier documentation, including but not limited to SDS, SAT, FAT, SOP's, ECR's, and Disaster Recovery Plans

Determining capital expenditure needs to support new and current technology

Managing contractor and vendor relationships



What will you bring to the job?

5+ years manufacturing experience in a process-focused manufacturing environment

Experience with technical project management preferred

Experience developing and leading teams

Practical experience with all types of control instrumentation

Experience in a regulatory environment (such as FDA or USDA) preferred

Associate's degree or higher preferred; a major in the sciences or trades is a plus

CNC machining, PLC programming, high tech production, or related process line experience a plus

Knowledge of Industrial Network Communication protocols (DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profibus, Ethernet)

Safety knowledge (NEC, NFPA, LOTO, OSHA, UL, CE)
