Job Description

Supply Chain Manager- permanent job opportunity with a leading global electronics manufacturing company. Canadian headquarters located in York Region. Offering excellent compensation package including high salary, bonus / profit sharing, benefits pension etc.

The Supply Chain Leader will develop, implement, and monitor solutions to optimize the supply chain for the Toronto Business Unit, taking a lead role in interfacing with respective customers and our strategic suppliers. (size of team managing: 8-12 planners and buyers + all shipping-receiving)

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

* Coach and mentor a team of dedicated Material Specialists, Procurement Specialists, Inventory Controllers, and Administrative staff

* Implement a framework for best practices in supply chain and inventory management

* Support corporate strategic initiatives for supply chain (material cost reductions, supplier discounts, comprehensive cycle-counting), human resources (development plans, mentoring, cross-training) and specific regional objectives (inventory turns etc.)

* Build positive relationships with both internal and external customers

* Add value through your ability to understand and refine business processes

* Will report directly to the General Manager for the Toronto business unit with additional reporting requirements to the Corporate Supply Chain Leader


* Ability to obtain results through people within your scope of responsibility as well as those outside of your scope of responsibility

* Must have relevant post-secondary business education or equivalent

* Practical industry experience in a multi-location environment (preferably in a complex manufacturing setting)

* Knowledge of ERP systems (BAAN, JDE, Oracle, SAP, VISUAL Mfg.) an asset

* Knowledge of "Lean Manufacturing". Experience with rapid change models such as Kaizen

* Dedicated and professional attitude, willing to learn in a high change/high pace environment

* Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and thrives on autonomy and the challenges of continuous improvement
