Job Description

This role will go until end of May, 2019 with a possible extension.



This role will support the Intellectual Property team. In this role, the Intellectual Property Paralegal will manage legal business matters pertaining to the organization and provide a variety of legal services related to intellectual property to a number of in-house clients, including domestic and international patent docket management, patent docketing, and patent review board management.



Primary responsibilities include:



Coordinate patent legal matters handled by domestic and international outside counsel, including patent docket management and associated docketing utilizing FoundationIP (FIP) docket management tool;

Coordinate Patent Review Board activities, including meeting set up, agenda planning and coordination, maintenance of individual Review Board internal websites, and docketing final decisions.

Generate and maintain related reports regarding patent portfolio for each client, maintain data integrity, and client relations including engineering community and management;

IP transactional work including review and generation of non-disclosure agreements and assistance with other IP agreements, as needed.



Required Qualifications:



5+ years of related patent experience either in-house or with a law firm

Advanced experience with patent docket management software, specifically FoundationIP (FIP)

Advanced experience with MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint: must be able to perform basic edit tracking functions, create and utilize basic formulas in Excel, and create PowerPoint presentations

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently and manage various projects with minimal oversight

Ability to successfully collaborate across multiple sites with peers to produce results

Proven time management skills and ability to prioritize and utilize resources as available



Preferred Qualifications:



7+ years of combined experience both in-house or with a law firm

IP transactional experience

Bachelor's Degree

Paralegal Degree

Familiarity with GoogleSites, GoogleMail and GoogleDrive
