Job Description

CNC Programmer

Operate CNC Machines in line with workload requirements, ensuring that all parts are machines to meet customer requirements and strict quality standards. Develop robust, cost-effective machining processes that meet quality requirements for the Machine Shop. Develop and maintain CNC machine programs. Specify equipment, tooling and supplies. Schedule department to meet throughput requirements. Provide technical support and guidance for hourly employees. Participate in cost reduction activities

What is the job?

* Develop technical requirements for robust machining processes

* Meet / improve quality standards to reduce rework / nonconformance

* Meet / improve performance standards for increased productivity

* Meet schedule requirements for on-time delivery to customers

* Calibrate proves to ensure conforming inspection equipment

* Specify equipment, tooling and supplies

* Drive the installation and implementation of new programming software

* Set up and operating CNC Machines (Grinding), ensuring that parts are machines in accordance with the agreed method of specification

* Understanding of engineering drawings, ensuring that fixtures are correctly aligned

* Inspecting parts in line with quality procedures and taking any necessary, approved, action to resolve quality issues

* Operating CMM Machines to support inspection requirement

* Consistently achieving all targets (production, quality, housekeeping etc.), as set by the Cell Manager

* Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including SOX, Code of Conduct and Health and Safety

What you bring to the job?

* Broad knowledge of tooling, mechanical or material science engineering, finance and business administration

* Minimum 2 years' experience in a Machine Shop

* MasterCam experience a plus. Experience with Anvil and Unigraphics programs preferred

* Understanding of dimensional inspection requirements

* Ability to drive production in a fast-paced environment

* Ability to manage multiple, often changing priorities

* Ability to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen
