Electrical & Mechanical Assembly Technician



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ability to solder, crimp and cut wires according to verbal or written instructions.

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings as well as wire list.

Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.

Ability to operate small hand tools such as drills, saws, hole punches and other equipment found in a electronics manufacturing area.

Ability to understand basic electronics circuits and vacuum technology utilized in integrating equipment for Plasma Etching and Plasma Sputtering technologies.



RESPONSIBILITIES: The Production/Assembly Technician receives authority from the Manufacturing Manager necessary to perform the above functions. Such authority includes:

Authority to strictly enforce Company's policies and procedures applicable to manufacturing equipment

Authority to enforce the Company's Safety Policies. Assist in giving suggestions for updating policies and procedures.

Legal and prescribed responsibilities:

Adhere to all pertinent government laws, rules, and regulations.

The Production/Assembly Technician is responsible for intra-company relationships. He/she must be ready to render suggestions to production, engineering and sales where necessary.

Continually strive to conceive new ideas, products, and/or services for the Company to achieve its primary goal of increasing product growth and profits

Realization that THE CUSTOMER IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY, and that each employee is here to support that priority.

Participates in Company and production team meetings as required.

Responsible for taking safety-training seriously.

Monitors the delegated tasks.

Ensures that he/she reads, understands, and signs awareness of their personal job description or duties list.

The Production/Assembly Technician shall be deemed to be performing in an acceptable manner when the following have been accomplished:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A high school education is required. AA or Technical School graduate and two years of relevant experience in a production environment is preferred.



LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write and speak English for flowcharts, manuals, policies, procedures and records of production processes.

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, mechanical drawings and point to point wire list.
