Job Description

Our downtown Toronto based legal client is looking for a Bilingual French English receptionist!

What is the job?:

* Greet and screen all walk-in visitors to the premises in a prompt and professional manner.

* Ensure that all incoming calls are answered promptly and professionally and are directed to the appropriate individual.

* Interact daily with a full range of Legal staff, licensees, complainants, visitors and suppliers.

* Greet visitors, responding to general inquiries.

* Present a professional and respectful demeanor to the public, licensees and service providers.

* Receive, record and sign for daily mail, all incoming and outgoing couriers and deliveries received at the front desk, etc., while meeting departmental standards of timeliness, accuracy and quality.

* Under the instruction of staff, accept service of legal documents in accordance with office procedures.

* Provide general clerical support under the direction of the designated Administration Manager, such Word processing, scanning, photocopying, emailing, faxing, drafting simple or routine correspondence under the direction of the designated Administration Manager.

* Maintain and update the periodicals for staff to ensure that they are current and up-to-date.

* Ensure the reception area is kept organized and tidy at all times.



What you bring:

* Must be fluent in English and French

* Exhibit highest standards of personal and professional behaviors while doing their work and engaging with stakeholders.

* Meet the physical demands for this position, which requires manual dexterity (related to keyboarding, maintaining a physical presence at the reception station, and frequent lifting and carrying files and boxes.

* The position may be required to travel in order to attend training, seminars and related events.
