Job Description

A direct hire career opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer is available in Lancaster County. This position is responsible for the Design and development of high-performance, very high-reliability, electro-mechanical products to withstand harsh and severe environments. This role is involved in all aspects of product development including concepts, trade studies, detail design, documentation, test, quality assurance, and production. It applies mechanical engineering fundamentals to create sound, cost-effective solutions for wide-ranging and conflicting requirements while maintaining project schedules and expenses. It supports test troubleshooting and analysis for mechanical failures and resolves production mechanical assembly issues.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or BMET).

* 6 + years of mechanical engineering work experience.

* Basic proficiency with 3-D modeling, preferably Pro/E.

* Understanding in the practical application of GD&T.

* Solid understanding of engineering concepts and fundamentals.

* Adept at working independently (minimal oversight), and on multi-discipline teams.

* Excellent interpersonal skills, and satisfactory communication skills

* US citizen required per government contracts

* Skilled at performing structural and thermal analysis.

* Understanding how to perform mechanical-based environmental testing.

* Machining skills and understanding of machining issues.
