Job Description

As an experienced finance professional, you are a key contributor to a company's financial health, profitability and growth. Business is booming for our manufacturing client in the Newmarket/Aurora area, and they are looking for a PERMANENT Manger of Finance to join their team!

You'll have the opportunity to manage the accounts payable team and challenge you to provide accurate, relevant and timely financial information.

Monthly / daily responsibilities include:

* Month-end accruals and journal entries

* Preparation of the monthly management reporting

* Bank reconciliations, government reporting and remittances

* Manage A/P team

* Analysis of the service business including efficiency reporting

* Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable backup, Daily cash monitoring backup

* Perform duties relating to Cheque Fraud Prevention

* Maintain and provide complex client AR reconciliations as required

* Participate in other projects as may be assigned

Annual responsibilities include:

* Preparation of year-end working paper files for auditors

* Assist with budget preparation


* 2+ years relevant, progressive experience

* Post-Secondary degree/diploma (Finance/Accounting/Commerce)

* Designation/enrollment in the CPA program an asset

* An equivalent combination of training and experience may also be considered

* Sound knowledge of GAAP, strong skills in analytical research

* Advanced level of proficiency MS Excel and other Office Suite applications

* Ability to work with minimal supervision, effectively manage multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills, advanced written and communications abilities

* High degree of accuracy and reliability in meeting requirements of the role

* Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills

* Manufacturing, ERP systems & SAP knowledge strongly preferred
