CNC MACHINST



Manpower is recruiting for a CNC Machinist for a permanent full-time opportunity with our client in Edmonton. Our client is an industry leader in design and manufacturing for downhole drilling industry. Position would be a night shift and hours are 4:00 pm to 2:30 am, Monday thru Thursday.



The position is responsible to machine and manufacture various down-hole motor tools as per specifications, working according to very precise specifications, and following standard operating procedures such as engineering drawings and measurements. This position will perform preventative maintenance of all the machines and tools as required.



Primary Job Responsibilities:

* Manufacture parts to engineered drawing and specifications

* Make sure quality meets or exceeds internal company and international standards

* Meet or exceed the scheduling requirements to ensure parts can be completed on time or ahead of time

* Be part of a work environment that promotes success, teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement

* Perform work in accordance with safety program and procedures, with due care and attention for both yourself and your co-workers

* Be organized and keep work area clean and put tools away in assigned areas.

* Perform daily maintenance of machines and equipment in accordance with preventative maintenance programs

* Perform independent set up of each job in accordance with provided instructions and in a timely manner

* Perform and document in-process quality checks in accordance with our quality program



Qualification Requirements:

* 5 years' experience knowledge of Fanuc G-Code

* Strong understanding of at least basic measuring tools, knowledge of more advanced tools.

* Knowledge of Lathe and Milling as this will be a combination of both but predominantly Lathe

* Experience in using various measuring instruments for precise measurements up to 0.0001"

* Ability to set-up and work under minimal supervision

* Self-starter, motivated, task-focused and results driven

* Industrial Manufacturing experience

* Good oral and written communication skills.
