Job Description

A client of ours in Oakville, ON is currently seeking a certified millwright to join their growing team. This is an excellent full time, permanent opportunity that will provide the successful candidate a chance to work with one of the area's leading employers.



What is the job?



- Understanding and working closely with blueprints to ensure machinery is up to standard.

- Troubleshooting and maintenance of pneumatics, hydraulics and presses.

- Installation of machinery as needed.

- Perform preventative maintenance as required by supervisor and / or the plant preventative maintenance system.

- Installation of new equipment, tooling, racking, services (air & nitrogen supply), etc.

- Perform tooling changeovers, material changes and ensure correct process function and acceptable first off part.

- Fabrication of fixtures, tooling or equipment as required.

- Support/implement/sustain DOS (Dana Operating System) activities such as but not limited to 5S, SMED & Standardized Work, TPM, Process Readiness, etc.

- Initiate or support activities that will address corrective actions or improvements to the process or workplace safety.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.



What is required for the position?



- 3-5 years of previous experience within a similar role.

- 433A or Red Seal certified, certification in the Province of Ontario as a Millwright.

- Experience in light-assembly manufacturing, stamping, leak, brazing, PLC's.

- Experience with safety requirements or procedures in a manufacturing setting.

- Previous experience within the automotive industry an asset.

- Previous experience working with robotics an asset.

- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and such as 5-S, SMED, etc.

- Ability to read engineering drawings, standard work instructions, safety instructions and maintenance records.

- Basic computer, computer software, and arithmetic skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)

- Written communications skills.

- Sound organizational skills, with attention to detail.

- Must be able to successfully complete required fork lift operator license, skyjack and fall arrest harness license.

- Reliable attendance record.

- Reliable transportation to Oakville.



What does the job offer to you?



- Steady night shift, Sunday - Thursday 11:15 pm - 6:30am.

- $29.51/hour.
