Job Description

Manpower had a direct hire opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician.



GENERAL SUMMARY:

Technicians employed in the Cell Maintenance Technician 2 classification must have thorough working knowledge of mechanical systems and components. Must possess a thorough working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machine controls. Must possess ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic drawings and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). These technicians will be largely responsible for troubleshooting and repair of this equipment, assisting with tasks which go beyond the scope of knowledge of the lower classifications. This will include suggesting methods of process improvement, preparing for/ performing machine installations, implementing automation projects, suggesting/ implementing machinery upgrades/ modifications, and developing predictive and preventative maintenance programs.



SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performing major repairs/rebuilds

2. Completion of Service documentation

3. Preparing for and performing machine installations

4. Suggesting and implementing machinery upgrades/improvements

5. Identifying opportunities for, suggesting, and helping to implement process improvements

6. Assist with the management of retrofit, rebuild and upgrade projects

7. Training of teammates

8. Maintenance of machine prints/documentation

9. Identifying opportunities for and implementing automation and machine building projects

10. Development, implementation, monitoring, and revision of Predictive Maintenance programs

11. Ability to troubleshoot and service complex electrical and machine controls circuits defined as:

* Conveyor drive system

* Motor starter circuits including Variable Frequency Drives

* I/O-Switch functions

* Equipment wiring/ grounding techniques

* Relay and PLC ladder logic

* Computer/ PLC interfacing

* A/C & D/C Electronic concepts

12. Skilled in Hydraulics, Pneumatics/Vacuum

13. PLC programming and debugging



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

* Must have 2-4 years formal education in industrial and/or electrical maintenance from an accredited community college technical center or approved recognized apprenticeship program.

OR at least 5 years work experience

* Willingness to work an off shift when required

* Must be familiar with current machinery and control technologies.

* Must be computer literate; proficient in MS Office, various robotic programming, CAD programs (Illustrator, Autodesk, etc.)



*Fabrication skills, including the ability to weld (MIG & TIG) (welding certification required)
