Job Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking to hire a CNC Machine Operator to their team! Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for the operation of the CNC machines in order to produce recycling products.

What is the job?

* Operate CNC machines.

* Organize daily workload according to the "Order Status" document

* Call and input programs and load and unload parts

* Clean and maintain machines, pumps and surrounding work area

* Set up, label and stage jobs based on production schedule

* Operate the forklift to prepare and change skids for machines

* Assist with MasterCam program management as required in order to provide back-up to the CNC Programmer/Operator

* Correct machine errors as necessary; contact technical support as required

* Set and adjust tool offsets on machines

* Unpack and set up raw materials

* Maintain an efficient, current file and record management system both for MaterCam files and project correspondence



What you bring to the job:

* 1-3 years of experience in a similar CNC role

* MasterCam programming experience

* Proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and Outlook

* High School Diploma or Vocational Equivalent

* Forklift Certificate is an asset

* CAD/CAM Certificate is an asset

* Critical thinking skills

* Take initiative; sees something that needs to be done and does it!

* Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team

* Demonstrates creativity, innovation, passion and initiative

* Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines

* Good organizational skills
