Job Description

Position: Permanent Position



Pay rate: $17 to 18/hr



Shift timing:

* Day shift 6:30 am to 2:30 pm

* Afternoon Shift 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm



Location: Keele St & Hwy 7, Concord



Pay rate: negotiable



Requires:



* 1-3 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment

* Ability to climb ladders & stairs.

* Ability to follow detailed instructions & be able to record progress, procedures, steps as completed.

* Basic computer skills & ability to use computer programs (SAP & analyze data).

* Must be able to perform product changeovers, minor operational troubleshooting and adjustments to equipment.

* Ability to differentiate between shades & colors of products.

* Required to bend, reach & lift hoses, manipulate valves, operate & adjust equipment, stack pallets, carry materials & equipment.

* Able to lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.

* Ability to work in a team environment & take ownership over area of responsibility.

* Must have ability to complete required safety training

* Operating material handling equipment including forklifts.

* Wear protective gear including but not limited to: gloves, safety glasses, steel toe and other PPE as required.

* Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move over, under and around production equipment, climb stairs

Duties and Responsibilities (List each area on one line in order of importance and show percent of time spent on each).

a. Dispersion

* Adds raw materials in correct quantities & order to mixer.

* Operates mixing equipment as designated by production slip, adhering to mix times, temperature, grinding requirements, etc.

* Records batch data in paint processing log (i.e. temperature, horsepower rate, blade level).

* Monitors batch to ensure it conforms to processing requirements.

* Label thindown tank top and bottom with production tags & ensure proper valve positioning on all equipment.

b. Thindown

* Adds materials (latex, water, solvents, thickener, etc.) to batch in precise weights & quantities, either automatically or manually.

* Adds colorants to batch to shade.

Quality Evaluation

* Performs quality testing as designated on the QC template.

Adjustment

* Adjusts batch properties (tint, strength, viscosity, etc.) either automatically or by adding materials in quantities designated by testing.

Complete Batch Ticket Processing

* Interface with computer programs to complete the batch ticket cycle process.

Equipment Utilized: Manufacturing equipment, forklifts, computers, scanning equipment, strainer systems, pumps, and holding vessels.
