A large manufacturing company in Middletown, NY is seeking an Electronics Control Engineer to join their organization!
This position will assist in designing, procuring, programming, installing and testing of electronic equipment needed for sensing and controlling process parameters and troubleshooting manufacturing systems. Will supervise plant electricians assigned to assist. This is a salary exempt position.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain existing automation systems.
* Design capital improvement electrical automation control system projects.
* Specification and procurement of capital improvement electrical automation control system projects.
* Program, create functional descriptions, develop functional acceptance testing, and start-up of electrical automation control systems.
* Write the specifications of software and hardware needed for sensing and controlling process parameters and troubleshooting electronic systems.
* Direct the installation and programming of electronic systems.
* Will supervise plant electricians assigned to assist.
* Will be responsible for training personnel in the use of electronic systems.
PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS:
* BS in Electrical Engineering
* Direct experience in designing or implementing SCADA software
* Experience in programming PLC's and sensing devices
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Computer literacy
Hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
