Job Description

Overview of the job



Coordinates all activities required to effectively lay out work, set-up appropriate machines or equipment to meet or exceed fabrication and customer requirements per design specifications and published schedules. Efficiently utilizes resources to minimize scrap, materials, and labor.



Responsibilities



Includes the following…



* Consistently meet and exceed deadlines for assigned tasks.



* Consistently produce parts that meet and exceed quality standards as determined by the Production Supervisor and/or Quality Inspector.



* Ability to perform set ups on a few of the machinery including press brake and manual punch press below machinery.



** Horizontal and Vertical Band Saw



** Shear



** Riveter



** Drill Press



** Strippit Punch Press



** Accupress Press Brake



** Roll Form



** Basic welding



** Mill



** Lathe



* Able to trouble-shoot machine problems and do basic maintenance and preventative maintenance.



* Able to perform basic welding tasks as needed.



* Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.



Required



* 1 year related experience and/or training.



* Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructions including but not limited to basic correspondence and blueprints.



* Effectively able to present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and other employees of the organization.



* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units.



* of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, angles, and volume.



* Knowledge of basic concepts of geometry.



* Ability to apply a common sense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.



Preferred



* Fork lift and overhead crane training and certification.
