Job Description

SUMMARY: The Job Developer is a public workforce grant funded position responsible for the coordination of connecting employers in a city, county or region with the services in the One-Stop System. They are responsible for business outreach, marketing of services, connecting employers with candidates and placing candidates in jobs. The Business Services Specialist is an individual contributor on a team that is expected to meet/exceed performance objectives under the contract and ensure compliance with client, state and federal policies and procedures.



EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of experience in workforce development, staffing or sales of services with increasing responsibility for outcomes.



EDUCATION: High School Diploma per company policy. Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in business, communications, social work, adult education or human resources related



LANGUAGE: Bilingual (English/Spanish) to be able to effectively communicate with others. Excellent grammar, speaking and writing skills.



DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and current vehicle insurance to be able to drive on company's behalf during business hours.



REQUIREMENTS:

* The ideal candidate will have talent in providing excellent customer service.

* Must be a reliable professional able to achieve balance between customer orientation and a results-driven approach.

* The goal is to find opportunities to build relationships with employers to identify business' needs.

* Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

* Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.

* Ability to work with or without supervision.

* Demonstrated ability to problem solve.

* Perform additional tasks as required.

* Ability to work as part of a team.

* Ability to work with a diverse population on a daily basis.



JOB DUTIES:

* Outreach and market to businesses the services available in the One-Stop System.

* Assess employer needs for job openings and convey that to candidates in the One-Stop system.

* Connect One-Stop candidates with jobs.

* Network and develop relationships with community leaders and service organizations which will be beneficial to Manpower Government Solutions in the delivery of services to the targeted population.
