Job Description

1st Shift, Temp to Hire Opportunity - The Training Coordinator is responsible for on boarding new employees and administering, tracking, and auditing the training of production team members. This position assures that Standard Operating Procedures are in place and that all production employees are following these standards. This position is also responsible for ensuring that new employees receive the required standardized on boarding when starting at our company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Learn and understand a wide variety of company processes
• Document work with high level of detail for training and onboarding employees
• Monitor & administer employee training, to achieve maximum quality & productivity
• Effectively train all new and existing employees in the production environment
• Validate training materials for their effectiveness
• Conduct training audits to the SOP’s to identify training gaps, and correct deficiencies
• Observe and audit work to make necessary changes to documentation or processes
• Understand and support the adherence to safety and quality standards
• Work with production team and engineering in support of Continuous Improvement of operations
• Provide regular feedback to production team members in their evaluation of abilities
• Assist with creation and changes to new and existing SOP’s respectively
• Manage and assist development of electronic documentation for training activities
• Be Flexible with work schedule to support all employees as needed.
• Manage training database activity
• Assist the Safety Manager with individual and plant training as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Required:

• Minimum High School Diploma with 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Requires strong verbal and written communication skills to support training and onboarding of new and existing employees.
• Ability to learn & utilize computer training programs
• Ability to translate detailed SOP’s into practical learning methods
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and be on feet for up to 10 hours per day
• Ability to work in noise levels that may require hearing protection in some areas
• Ability to give and follow directions
• Ability to learn and understand key manufacturing principles and tools.
(LEAN, Control Plans, 5 Why etc.)
• Ability to research best practices and industry standards
• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)

Working Conditions: General office, manufacturing and warehouse working environment
