Job Description

This leadership role holds responsibility for providing direct oversight to the performance of work as defined by the contract requirements. Duties include, but are not limited to:



Work with Shift Managers and Team Leaders to address any staffing needs.

Ensure each employee has received the appropriate training and certifications needed to complete their assigned task.

Communicate safety requirements and expectations to shift managers and team leaders to ensure all safety rules are being followed and enforced.

Train Supervisors and Team leaders on effective management practices.

React quickly to all safety, staffing, and operational issues within the operation.

Conduct follow up on all safety violations and improve or apply new training based on the outcome of the follow up.

Assist shift managers and supervisors with personnel issues.

Work with primary client contacts ensuring we are fulfilling ever changing needs.

Review results of safety and training audits to ensure appropriate follow ups are being completed.

Develop and manage training programs to meet the needs of the business.

Develop SOP's for all aspects of the business and train leadership on procedures.

Develop and manage quality and production programs to ensure zero losses.

Establish an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment.

Attend scheduled meetings and interface with client contacts.

Qualifications



Minimum of 2 years experience managing 50-200 employees.

People development skills including training, coaching, mentoring and team development.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Direct supervisory experience as well as ability to influence through indirect leadership.

Integrative thinker with demonstrated ability to solve complex, multi-faceted problems.

Ability to motivate teams to produce on-target and timely results.

The ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, develop alternative solutions and work well in group problem solving.

Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
