JOB PURPOSE Direct, promote, and coordinate the feed store operations in a manner that will achieve maximum productivity, profitability and customer service

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * Ability to expand the customer base through targeted marketing efforts * Knowledge of the products sold at the feed store location and their purpose * Purchase all necessary inventory needed while maintaining proper gross margins and inventory levels * Supervise, delegate, and manage staff * Promote a team oriented culture and positive work environment for employees * Be able to negotiate with vendors for the best price * Attend annual vendor shows to purchase and contract necessary inventory (Farm Supplies, Seed, etc.) * Report monthly inventory, daily invoicing, and daily exception reports * Process reports as needed * Assist in competitive market analysis for the store's trade area * Assist and manage facility and equipment maintenance * Maintain necessary safety training and meetings * Daily use of necessary computer programs * Assist in other duties that may be assigned to meet business needs

ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain and increase profitability and sales * Enter all inventory into operating system when received * Manage receivables, contact and collect on overdue accounts * Required to have monthly credit meeting with Division Manager providing updates on past due credit accounts * Responsible for daily deposits

CUSTOMER SERVICE * Maintain and establish a positive experience to our customers; to include but not limited to location cleanliness, personal hygiene, professional phone etiquette. * Directing staff in a positive and professional manner in front of customers. * Reconcile and report customer issues, concerns and complaints * Provide feedback to Division Manager * Return phone calls and messages in a timely manner

/REQUIREMENTS * Farm/Ranch experience, rural background desired * Experience and knowledge in basic feed, animal nutrition, pet food, and farm supplies * Ability to effectively lead/supervise people * Ability to take direction * Minimum education, High School Diploma * Minimum experience, 2-5 years of retail experience desired * Excellent customer service skills, including phone etiquette * Computer skills to include Word and Excel, person will be trained on point of sale and operating system * Basic math skills, business finance experience helpful * Standing and sitting for extended periods of time
