Manpower is currently seeking a Petroleum Sales Representative for an Alberta Based Agriculture leader. This position is a permanent position supporting the East-Central areas of Alberta. In this position you will work from home as well in the field. A company fleet truck, gas card, laptop and a cell phone will be provided. The perfect fit for this position would be genuine, good attitude, competent, not overly aggressive in style but still strong in sales approach, someone who is connected to the area and agriculture and comes with contacts within the farming community.


* Responsible for the profitable growth and maintenance of 500,000,000 litres annual volume of fuel and lubricant sales to members.

* Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for greater customer share.

* Build collaborative sales plans to acquire new or lapsed customers and maintain customer loyalty.

* Build relationships with other company sales teams to collaborate on sales calls and opportunity identification.

* Responsible for developing new and existing customer contacts in the agriculture market segment.

* Maintain of existing accounts and the pricing and customer service of such accounts.

* Provide training and coaching of agents regarding sales calls and lubricant specifications.

* Perform detailed analysis of market segments to determine industry trends and customer needs.

* Generate and transfer qualified sales leads for the full company offering (Petroleum, Farm & Ranch).

* Attend trade shows, association meetings, and company community and marketing events as required


* University degree in business/agriculture or a community college certification in business administration/agriculture.

* 5 - 7 years' direct agriculture sales experience. Petroleum industry knowledge is an asset.

* Understanding of the agricultural segments.

* Technical training in lubricants is an asset.

* Effective leadership, communication, negotiating and listening skills.

* SAP, Microsoft Office Suite. Excel skills to enhance account analysis.

* Proficiency in CRM systems is an asset.

* 75% in fieldwork environment.

* Valid driver's license required.
