Our client in Stoney Creek is looking for someone who will maintain all equipment to required standards, be responsive to line calls and equipment failures. The Technical Team Member routinely performs work independently and must be able to work in an environment with many distractions, maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing their duties.



What is the job??



* Maintain all mechanical production equipment and responds to breakdowns with a sense of urgency

* Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring that all safety and control functions are working properly at all times

* Make necessary changes to current equipment and assist with new equipment installation and commissioning

* Perform preventive maintenance tasks as assigned

* Perform trouble-shooting of mechanical mechanisms and assemblies, pneumatics / hydraulics

* Make all necessary mechanical breakdown repairs safely within the plant /machinery

* Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics to determine layout of industrial equipment installations

* Update and document mechanical changes on CMMS work orders

* Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair of mechanical equipment (mechanical drives, actuators, conveyors, couplings, etc.)

* Repair, install and troubleshoot various machines and equipment

* Must be able to read schematics, specifications, and blueprints.

* Able to use hand and power tools, gauging devices

* Perform regular machine maintenance as stated in Preventative Maintenance Program

* Perform predictive maintenance activities on the equipment

* Plan assigned work in an efficient method to minimize machine downtime while ensuring employee safety is maintained

* Fabrication and installation of safety guards and circuits



What do you bring to the role??



* Knowledge of Millwright Industry Standards and requirements

* Basic machining skills (mills, lathes and grinders)

* Demonstrated ability to use measuring instruments (micrometers, Vernier's and Calipers)

* Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, pumps, gear boxes, bearing, seals and alignment of couplings

* Demonstrated knowledge of welding (mig, stick, brazing, oxy-acetylene)

* Demonstrated knowledge of rigging and man-lifts

* A current Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright (433A) and relevant industrial experience

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
