Manpower is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant, with DOT experience, for a 1 year assignment in Windsor, CT! This is an opportunity for a permanent position! I will be conducting interviews today. Please apply with an updated resume!

Position: Administrative Assistant II

Assignment Length: 1 year

Duties: General administrative responsibilities include preparation of reports/presentations using various software packages and databases, compilation of information from various sources, and handling small scale projects. Performs audits of various types. Individuals at this level may still perform office functions outlined in the first two levels but these are not the primary focus of the position. Individuals may deal with confidential material on a regular basis.

What the client is looking for: We are looking for a strong administrative assistant that also has experience in the transportation industry…basic knowledge of DOT hours of service, basic understanding of driver dispatching, etc. Duties include recording of inbound and outbound equipment, monitoring scheduled versus actual equipment types, and using Feeder Scheduling System (FSS) reports to dispatch drivers. Other duties include key entering timecards and outside yard checks to ensure that the trailer positions matches the computer system. Administrative duties to include data entry, report generation, communications to internal and external customers. Strong typing, 10-key and attention to detail a must. Steel toe shoes required. Potential conversion to full-time for the right person.


Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday

Pay rate: $17.00
