Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant - Direct Hire

Our Client is seeking a Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant that will be responsible for handling basic accounting, record keeping, and clerical obligations. This includes assisting in fundraisers and phone coverage, communicating with employees regarding time-clock, company policies and procedures, checking daily paperwork, and keeping track of safety incidents and procedures.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Accounting tasks such as collecting accounts receivable and counting cash from fundraisers.

Daily settlements with route employees that involve matching correct tickets.

Completing accounting forms and records as well as filing this data and/or entering it into a computer.

Clerical duties such as answering the telephone and using the office equipment (fax machine, AS400, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, etc.).

Effectively communicating company procedures to Employees.

Answer the telephone in a timely manner.

Ability to handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy.

Additional responsibilities as assigned.


High School Diploma or equivalent.

1-3 Years' experience as an Administrative Assistant

1-3 Years' Bookkeeping experience.

Ability to handle cash competently and responsibly.

Strong organizational skills.

Moderate computer knowledge and adding machine skills.

Ability to cross train on other essential functions.

Weekends are required as well as holidays. (Must be flexible to work any day of the week).

Pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
