Job Description

Manpower is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our client in New Castle, Delaware. This is an exciting opportunity for right candidate!



SUMMARY

This is a general overall facility position supporting the site's 24-hour building operations. The applicant would have responsibility to tour the sites facility related critical hardware areas and report on operational issues. This position will also support the cleanliness of the critical areas as well as the overall site. The role is based on two rotating 12 hour shifts, 7AM to 7PM and 7PM to 7AM, along with every other weekend is required. Preferably the candidate should have prior facility support experience.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Perform rounds of critical environment hardware documenting operating conditions. i.e. electrical switchgear, generators, uninterruptable power supplies, static transfer switches, power distribution units, precision air conditioners

* Respond to general and emergency alarm notification via the sites building control system

* Support the day to day support operations of the building; shipping and receiving, general cleaning, restocking, painting, lightbulb replacement, roof top equipment cleaning support, overall general support.

* Perform precision cleaning in a critical environment areas:

* Demonstrated the ability to follow technical tasks and procedures

* Perform work order tasks in support of the building requirements; general equipment inspections and tasks

* Create documentation in support of engineering preventive maintenance or corrective action tasks

* Maintain good tenant relations through prompt and courteous response to tenant requests

* Stay up to date of all emergency procedures

* Able to operate a personal computer using Windows, Excel and Word



OTHER FUNCTIONS

* Maintain ethical, professional and courteous relations with contractors

* Act as a team member with all employees of the management staff

* Meet attendance and punctuality requirements



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

* Ability to work 24/7/365 4/3/3/4 12-hour schedule with 2-month rotation

* Uses proper English when interacting with tenants

* Interprets instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form

* Communicates essential information needed for decision making

* Strong written, oral, and technical knowledge



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual. Walking, lifting and climbing required
