Job Description

Our client, a Metal recycling facility in the North York area is currently looking for a 310T Truck Mechanic. This position is a straight Afternoon shift. Our client is helping the environment by sourcing and processing recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America and ensuring these metals don't end up in a landfill or go to waste. Live by the motto what was old is new again!



What's the job?

*Joining the maintenance team

*Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company trucks, trailers, cranes, skid steers and forklifts

*CVI inspections on trucks/trailers

*Perform scheduled repairs on trucks/trailers

*Ensure running repairs are performed on trucks/trailers as per pre/post inspections

*Repair forklifts, skid steers and cranes where possible

*Complete all required paperwork as per legislative requirements

*Maintain inventory of parts and order as required

*Support drivers and machine/equipment operators with technical knowledge

*Teach apprentices



What do you bring to the job?

*310 Truck and Coach Technician Certification

*Minimum 2- 3 years of previous experience

*Strong English communications skills (written and verbal)

*Ability to teach an apprentice

*Self-motivated

*Ability to perform in all types of weather

*Ability to perform a physical demanding job
