Job Title: Technical Support Technician

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM



Job Description

Technician will provide basic technical support on behalf of the Manufacturing Technologies Department.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

* Performs to individual goals established during performance reviews and/or goal setting meetings.

* Assist in validating process controls.

* Sort and identify failures on of all motor and sub-assemblies.

* Assist in the evaluation of motor and sub-assembly defects.

* Assist in the set-up and validation assembly processes for new and existing products.

* Maintain databases to monitor assigned projects.

* Assist in maintaining manufacturing run-in racks.

* Assist in installing, repairing and maintaining select electromechanical equipment in all assembly areas.

* Make recommendations for the continuous improvement efforts of all assembly areas.

* Assist facilities department as required in the preventative maintenance program for select assembly fixtures and tools.

* Insure that all assembly tools and fixtures are identified and properly stored.

* Perform assembly and disassembly functions on various types of hardware (e.g. motors, customer systems, etc.).

* Train and assist personnel, as assigned.

* Assists other departments, as assigned by supervisor.

* Meets or exceeds company expectations for quality.

* Keeps work area neat and clean at all times.

* Must immediately report any and all unsafe conditions and/or injuries to supervisor.

* Reads, understands and adheres to appropriate company and department policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance, safe and productive workplace and quality products and customer service.

* Performs other duties, as assigned, to maintain efficiency throughout the company.



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school graduate with a minimum of one year of technical related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or as deemed appropriate by the Senior Management of ResMed Motor Technologies.



PREREQUISITES:

* Ability to Read, Interpret and Understand Engineering Drawings and Schematics.

* Ability to generate computerized test reports.

* Ability to use a Personal Computer.

* Well-developed observation skills.

* Strong organizational skills with an ability to establish priorities and proceed with objectives without supervision.

* Good knowledge of motors and/or rotary machines.

* Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra and probability/statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
