Job Description

As an effective Order Desk/Dispatcher Coordinator, you'll help create shipping routes that keep costs down but meet customer scheduling needs. Your role is key in delivering items to customers by verifying orders; inventorying stock and arranging transportation as outlined in customer contracts. You're an expert in adjusting to minute changes and work with drivers to schedule emergency pick-up or delivery for new or established clients when necessary.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for order entry, and accuracy of shipments (Pick up/delivery addresses, contacts at each location, PO/SO/Reference #s, SKU & Quantity)

* Organizes product orders by editing for customer specific requirements, marketing promotions, QA released and weight compliance

* Arranges shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating delivery requirements; placing and expediting orders

* Ships items by examining items, destination, route, rate, delivery time; ordering carriers

* Verifies items shipped by matching/making bills of lading; reconciling quantities; noting discrepancies

* Makes all relevant Master Packing Lists against outstanding POs

* Keeps customers/DCs informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date and method, and current status; answering questions

* Replaces damaged items, shortages, and miss-shipments by determining optimal response of replacement or credit

* Upholds organization's reputation by keeping pricing, promotion, purchase order, and credit-limit information confidential

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

* Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

* Helps keep KPI and Matrix for the logistics' department.

* Works closely with Finance to help facilitate customer invoicing



Qualifications:

* You're an energetic, flexible and detail-oriented individual with a self-starter personality

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and technology (Excel)

* 2-3 year minimum experience as a dispatcher/order desk required or equivalent

* Strong written and communication skills

* Superior organizational skill is essential

* You offer excellent time-management skills and have the ability to work in a high-pressure situation and fast-paced environments

* Experience with coordinating groups of people or tasks is an asset

* Strong Knowledge of the roadways & logistics
