This position is responsible for managing safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale in a Lean Production environment. This position is also responsible for training and educating team members with ongoing lean efforts.

* Ensure a safe workplace for all team members

* Assists in planning and assigning work

* Recommends and implements improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions to assure optimal use of available capacity

* Ensure process performance to meet quality and delivery requirements

* Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost, moral

* Promotes an environment of improvement and team work

* Monitor and reduce costs associated with processes and systems

* Train and coach team members daily

* Ensure adherence to Genie policies and procedures

* Record and respond to "Andons" and "Variations"

* Initiate and support Kaizen program

* Maintain and use Leader Standard Work daily

Basic Qualifications:

* Must have 2 years of Finished Goods shipping experience.

* Demonstrated servant leadership characteristics in all facets of effectively leading a team.

* Proven facilitation skills of groups ranging in size of eight (8) to twelve (12).

* Demonstrated application of Lean Manufacturing Principles (5S, standard work, waste elimination, etc.).

* Flexible, with strong teamwork orientation.

* Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience coaching and training others.

* Strong orientation toward Safety and quality programs.

* Ability to work well under pressure and to a deadline.

* Demonstrated ability to effectively implement change.

* Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement and proficient at leading a team through the kaizen cycle.

* Excellent attendance record and a willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Minimum of 3 years experience in a Lean environment preferred

* Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.

* Must demonstrate self-managed us of time.

* Strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms

* Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and oracle system
