Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a temporary Damage to Plant Coordinator position for our client, an electrical utilities company located in Vancouver, BC.

The Job:

- Searching for damage-to-plant incidents by reviewing trouble order reports and crew comments, internal accident reports, etc;

- Requesting recovery cost work orders from the line department and design community;

- Investigating the cause of the damage to plant and identifying the potentially liable party;

- Obtaining billing and contact info for liable individual or company by searching internal and external sources;

- Auditing the repair and/or replacement costs for accuracy and completeness;

- Following up on questionable labour, material and other expenses associated with the work conducted;

- Troubleshooting less complex final invoice and coding issues with line, design, sundry billing, payments and legal departments;

- Providing straightforward research support to legal department throughout litigation process

What you bring to the job:

- 12+ months of related experience in billing (electrical and non-electrical), collections and payments;

- University degree or diploma; completion of 3rd year CGA or equivalent;

- Advanced MS Excel, Intermediate MS Word and PowerPoint (knowledge of SAP and FileNet is a strong asset);

- A valid BC driver's license;

- Trades training related to the utility business is an asset

- Self-motivation and capability of working in a fast-p¬aced environment.
