Communications & Stakeholder Relations Senior Advisor



Manpower is currently seeking a Communications & Stakeholder Relations Senior Advisor for a contract position with a Major Pipeline Company in North York, ON.



Responsibilities:

* Along with the Plant Managers, to be the primary contact for community relations activities for Power's projects in North America and Europe

* As the internal and external communications specialist for Power Operations prepare internal and external newsletters

* Support the Power Operations management team with internal and external messaging

* Support Power Operations safety culture and leadership programs by giving support to the respective managers.

* Developing and managing multi-year environmental partnerships including sponsorships, school and community involvement, special events

* Supports Power Operations by providing deep expertise in community relations

* Accountable and responsible for the development, design and Implementation a community engagement plan for each community which includes communications materials to the community, key community events to attend

* Works with operations on emergency management and issues management both proactively and reactively, including managing the Safe Community sponsorship program for Power Operations

* Develop and optimize internal relationships and key regional industry and other external Stakeholder relationships. Provide input and support in the development of progressive Stakeholder Engagement approaches, strategies, programs and tools. This includes, but is not limited to, engagement with Government, NGOs, Aboriginal Communities, Community Investment and Economic Inclusion

* Point of contact for specific landowner matters

* Manage the execution of Power Operations events, such as landowner events, open houses, leadership meetings

* Provide any other support requested by Power Operations Management

Experience:

* A University degree in public relations, political science, business or related field

* Significant professional development leading to excellence in areas of subject matter expertise

* 4+ years of progressively responsible public relations/public affairs/communications and stakeholder engagement experience

* Experience in the energy industry, including experience with government officials/Aboriginal communities are preferred

* Understanding of renewable energy operations as well as opposition in Ontario
