Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electro Mechanic for a well established manufacturing firm in the Corona area that produces products for the gas industry. If you enjoy tinkering with tools and repairing machinery....this might be the position for you. This is a first shift opportunity and requires you to pass a drug screening and background check.

Summary: Under general supervision, keeps machinery and equipment of an establishment in good repair. Examines machines for defects in operation, replaces defective parts, makes necessary adjustments to insure efficient operation, affixes special attachment parts only in an emergency. Has sufficient knowledge to install, repair or rebuild equipment and repair ordinary parts as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Observes mechanical devises in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.

Dismantles devises to gain access to and remove defective parts.

Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.

Adjusts functional parts of devises and control instruments.

Repairs or replaces defective parts.

Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.

Lubricates and cleans parts.

Starts devices to test their performance.

Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.

Repairs electrical equipment.
