    Job Title: SerDes RTL Digital Design Engineer

    Job Description:
    The SerDes RTL team is looking for passionate and experienced Design Engineers for RTL Design and Firmware development of high speed SerDes IPs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    * Digital design and RTL coding.
    * Writing firmware for embedded u-controllers in C
    * Occasional creation of utility software in using C, perl, python
    * Co-ordinating design verification and implementation activities.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    * 5+ years of digital design engineering experience, SerDes digital design experience is preferred.
    * Excellent knowledge of Verilog, C, C++ and a scripting language; experience with Python, Perl and TCL is a plus
    * Strong understanding of digital and analog electronics.
    * Experience with low level, physical phenomena oriented logic design is an asset (dealing with IO, clocking, voltage control, etc.)
    * Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to details.
    * Must be a self starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.
    * Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    EDUCATION:
    * Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer engineering is required. Master's or PhD degree is a plus.

    Engineering Design Technician (Drafter)

    Manpower is currently seeking an Engineering Design Technician (Drafter) to fill a contract position with a major gas company in Chatham, ON.

    Responsibilities:
    * Accountable for design and drafting requirements using CAD software to create Pipeline & Station project drawings (mechanical, route selection maps, details, electrical, civil), composites, etc.) through the application of company principles & practices to create, edit and maintain safe, compliant, cost effective and efficient designs.
    * Accountable for coordination and oversight of third-party design consultants with respect to pipeline and major station designs to ensure that the designs follow the intent of company standards and specifications.
    * Accountable to research and assemble all pertinent and relevant information (design criteria, parameters, material requisitions, documents, Bill of Materials, etc.) to be used for engineering designs. The responsibility extends to the coordination and prioritization of tasks and work across multiple client groups, internal and external.
    * Responsible to support corporate manuals (Station, Isometric, C&M, Portal, etc.) and programs by preparing, creating and editing technical drawings & details.

    Required Education / Experience:
    * College diploma or university degree in a technical/engineering program, with a preference for the Mechanical, Architecture or Civil disciplines.
    * Minimum 5 years advanced technical experience applying engineering principles to designs and drawings.
    * Work experience designing & drafting natural gas or related facilities would be considered an asset.
    * Excellent technical design and drafting skills using CAD software.
    * Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
    * Solid written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
    * Ability to work independently in a team setting, with minimal supervision.
    * OACETT - A.Sc.T., C.Tech. or C.E.T.
    * Experience with Bentley Products (PlantSpace, OpenPlant, MicroStation, ProjectWise), and/or AutoCAD products (AutoPlant).
    * Solid understanding of industrial measuring devices (i.e., mechanical, pressure, temperature, flow, electrical, level).

    Planner / Scheduler

    Manpower is currently seeking a Planner/Scheduler to fulfill a long term contract position with a major pipeline client in Prince George, BC.

    In this position you will be responsible for assisting the Supervisor with activities associated with the screening, scheduling, estimating & sequencing of digs for the entire dig program. You will also assist the supervisor with new team initiatives, processes, and analysis as required for the entire dig team.

    Specific Accountabilities:
    * Develop and revise Long Range Work Plans, Performing Work Lists, Planning Priority Lists and Work Schedules for the program planning to ensure we perform work that is properly planned and ready to execute
    * Accountable for activities associated with the screening, scheduling, estimating & sequencing of digs for the Transmission dig program
    * Facilitate the on-site work scoping and estimating for Dig Program work and ensure accuracy of the Work Package to ensure we perform work that is properly planned and ready to execute
    * Monitor and provide regular updates on the plan for dig issuance, cost estimates to stakeholders, and dig program owner
    * Gather, analyze, and report Metrics and KPI's on the dig Portfolio and other identified processes. Assists in the preparation of action plans, progress, and address metric shortfalls
    * Stakeholder management, preliminary determination of regulatory requirements, completion of front end engineering designs (for those Special digs that require engineering), cost estimates, schedules, and execution strategies.
    * Assist in the development of realistic and reliable schedules and cost estimates, while appropriately defining the program risks, and appropriate mitigation measures.
    * Apply extensive knowledge, experience, and expert resources, to ensure schedules and cost estimates are appropriate for the scope and risks.
    * Identification, forecasting and troubleshooting of substantial financial and schedule risks to the program
    * Responsible for providing governance on dig selection, extensions, and scheduling through business case justification (based on capital cost or dig cost assessment), screening, and prioritization
    * Assist in transition of dig packages from planning to execution
    * Coordinating /collaboration of internal and external stakeholders

    Required Education and Experience:
    * Professional Engineering, Technology designation or Journeyperson certification
    * Post-secondary education in business, technical or related field
    * Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in any discipline related to multi-discipline Pipeline Integrity related programs for Oil and Gas
    * Ability to demonstrate strategic planning, project management, problem-solving, research and analytical skills to anticipate issues, analyze their impacts, and develop options and recommendations.
    * Excellent interpersonal skills
    * Certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project or Program Management Professional (PMP)
    * Ability to read and understand construction documents and Engineering Work Packages
    * Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and scheduling software is considered as asset
    * Experience with other construction planning and management software such as MS projects, SAP, Maximo, 3D model viewers and more is considered an asset
