Senior Procurement Manager – Logistics & Warehousing
Location: Parsippany, NJ
Shift: M-F 9AM – 5PM
Pay Rate: $60-$69/hr

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across North America with a primary focus on logistics, transportation, warehousing, and indirect procurement categories. This role will drive category strategies, supplier partnerships, contract negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives while ensuring service excellence and supply continuity.
The ideal candidate is a strategic procurement professional with expertise in sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and logistics operations. This individual will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions, reduce costs, mitigate risk, and create long-term value for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement Leadership

  • Own and manage a regional procurement category portfolio, serving as the subject matter expert for assigned categories.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and procurement goals.
  • Lead regional procurement initiatives and strategic projects with the potential for broader regional or global implementation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, supplier performance, and overall procurement effectiveness.
Logistics & Warehousing Category Management
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for logistics-related categories, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution services.
  • Optimize total cost of ownership while maintaining high standards of quality, service, and reliability.
  • Monitor category performance and identify opportunities for cost savings, innovation, and operational efficiencies.
Supplier Management & Relationship Development
  • Identify, evaluate, select, and develop best-in-class suppliers.
  • Build and maintain a diverse and competitive supplier network across North America.
  • Establish strategic supplier partnerships that support innovation, cost reduction, and business growth.
  • Manage supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive service, quality, delivery, and cost improvements throughout the supplier base.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with supply chain, operations, finance, manufacturing, logistics, and other business leaders to understand objectives and priorities.
  • Influence stakeholders to adopt procurement best practices and strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on procurement strategy, supplier capabilities, and market intelligence.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and assess supplier, market, and category risks.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to protect business continuity.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Lead initiatives that drive innovation, process improvements, and sustainable procurement practices.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Background in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or category management experience.
  • Experience managing transportation, logistics, warehousing, or indirect procurement categories.
  • Proven success negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional sourcing initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • CPSM, CPM, CIPS, APICS, or similar professional certification.
  • Experience working in a multinational or regional procurement organization.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems, spend analytics tools, and supplier management platforms.
