Our client, a leading life sciences organization, is seeking a Production Planner II to join their team. As a Production Planner II, you will be part of the Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations team supporting production planning and scheduling activities for a complex chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to drive manufacturing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Job Title: Production Planner II
Location: Fully Onsite in Richmond, CA
Pay Range: $37.30-$51.29/hr
Shift: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

What's the Job?

  • Execute MRP activities within a SAP environment to support production and inventory requirements
  • Develop and maintain mid- and long-term production plans for a complex manufacturing operation with over 3,000 SKUs
  • Establish and manage finite production schedules to optimize workflow and manufacturing efficiency
  • Analyze inventory trends, material movement, safety stock levels, batch sizing, and capacity utilization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, improve processes, and support supply chain objectives

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of production planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in SAP, MRP, or ERP systems
  • Strong understanding of Bills of Material (BOMs) and manufacturing routings
  • Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives is a plus
  • APICS CPIM certification preferred
