Shipping Receiving Clerk

Our client, a manufacturing and logistics-focused organization, is seeking a Shipping Receiving Clerk to join their team. As a Shipping Receiving Clerk, you will be part of the operations team supporting day-to-day material flow. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and a safety-first mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shipping Receiving Clerk

Location: Salem, VA

Pay Range:$16.84 - $18.94 per hour

Shift: 8 hours per shift, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Mon-Fri

What's the Job?

• Fill orders and stage materials and products in the appropriate areas according to oral and written job instructions.
• Receive job instructions, identify product, verify counts, and confirm part numbers.
• Pull parts for loading/unloading and stage items to support smooth production flow.
• Use material handling equipment such as a forklift, push carts,
• Coordinate with line personnel to replenish parts by moving
• dollies, or Raymond equipment as needed. materials to lines when required to sustain production levels.

What's Needed?

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately to ensure correct order fulfillment.
• Experience working in shipping/receiving or a similar environment where parts verification and staging are required.
• Capability to be trained and certified to operate a forklift (forklift operation is required for the assignment).
• Comfort using material handling equipment safely and efficiently in a production setting.
• Reliability and readiness to support additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs.
