Our client, a global organization in the machinery and procurement space, is seeking a USA|Procurement Specialist 4 to join their team. As a USA|Procurement Specialist 4, you will be part of the procurement organization supporting strategic sourcing and commodity management activities. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, clear communication and supplier-facing collaboration, and the ability to manage complex procurement processes and long-term contracts—aligning your work with business objectives and measurable outcomes.

Pay Range: $38

Shift: 1 (08:00AM-17:00PM)

What's the Job?

  • Lead the Commodity Circle in your respective area of responsibility with support from cross-functional team members.
  • Manage commodities for your area of responsibility, including defining and executing the ecosystem strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure transparency on cost structures and spend through Commodity Circles, and create business-specific initiatives and measures based on the commodity strategy.
  • Increase managed spend by safeguarding awardings according to the defined commodity strategy, while maintaining a competitive supply base.
  • Execute periodic strategic procurement activities (negotiations planning, commodity strategy updates, awarding strategy, sourcing board approvals, quarterly review meetings) and prepare, negotiate, award, and make available frame contracts and price lists for strategic suppliers.

What's Needed?

  • BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6-12 years of collective experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing, Engineering, or a similar function in machinery industries.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, including experience using financial and data-driven techniques to make decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand main mechanical manufacturing processes and communicate basic mechanical topics with suppliers and internal cross-functional partners.
  • Procurement process, systems, and tools knowledge, including familiarity with SAP and a Productivity Management System; advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
